Myron "Mike" Farver, 66, of Matherville, passed away Monday September 4, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Hospital, Peoria.

There will be no service at this time.

Myron was born on May 17, 1957 in Midland, Michigan, the son of Ralph W. and Lisbeth (Clary) Farver. He married Bridget Clark on February 14, 2013. She preceded him in death.

After graduating high school in Michigan, Mike joined the United States Air Force. He served in the Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller until being discharged in 1979. He later joined the United States Army National Guard where he served over 14 years.

Mike had been employed a corrections officer with the East Moline Correctional Center for 25 years.

He was a member of AFSCME Local 46. Mike also loved to fish and hunt in his earlier years.

Survivors include his son, Herb (Aubrey) Farver, Matherville and brother, Don Farver, Steve Farver, Jim Farver, Rich Farver; sister, Beth Pessetto.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bridget; parents, Ralph and Lisbeth and brother, Jeff Farver.
