Myvon E. Elsey, 83, of Rock Island, died Monday, October 16, 2017 at UnityPoint Health - Trinity, Rock Island.  Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island.  Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Memorials may be made in care of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Myvon was born in Marion, Iowa on March 3, 1934, a daughter of Earl and Ruth Mettlin.  She married LaMoyne Elsey on September 5, 1954 at the Viola Methodist Church.

Myvon worked for People's Drug Store in Milan for about twenty years.  She enjoyed watching and spending time with all of her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, LaMoyne Elsey, Rock Island; sons, Chris (Rose) Elsey, Rock Island and Brian Elsey, Moline; grandchildren, Andrew, Jasmine, Austin, Mackenzie, BreAun and Shaun Elsey; and great-grandchilden, Niesha, Estelle, BreAun Jr., Damien and Willow.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Michael and Curtis Elsey and brother, Duwain Mettlin.
