Nancy was born September 27th, 1952, the daughter of Reginald F. Cook and Elizabeth Joan Cook (who both precede her in death) in Omaha, NE. The family lived in Omaha, Wichita and Kansas City, KS, before settling in Leavenworth, KS.  She attended Sacred Heart School and Leavenworth High School (1970) where she was a cheerleader, a pom-pom girl, and also loved to play golf.  She attended the University of Kansas and was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority.  She received her bachelor's degree in Child Speech Pathology in 1974.

She married Benjamin D. Nancy is survived by her beloved husband, Ben, whom she was married to on July 2nd, 1977 in Leavenworth, KS.  She is also survived by her daughters: Jessica Farrar of Salt Lake City, UT and Amy Marquess of Des Moines, IA; and her brothers: Charles (Candy) Cook, Jeff (Cindy) Cook, and Richard (Ann) Cook, and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and uncountable friends from her youth and adulthood.
