Nancy J. Frances, 79, of Milan, IL, passed away Wednesday April 4, 2018 at UnityPoint-Trinity, Rock Island.

A memorial celebration of her life for family and friends will be 1 pm – 4 pm on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the Milan American Legion Hall, Milan. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan, is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Nancy was born February 9, 1939 in Moline, Illinois, a daughter of Arthur and Mable Westlund Roberts. She graduated from Rock Island High School, Class of 1957.

Nancy was a homemaker. In earlier years, she worked at the Rock Island Argus. She also enjoyed volunteer work with the Moline Boys' Choir for many years.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas, of Milan; children and their spouses, Kathryn and Roy Shipp, Bettendorf, IA, James and Jennifer Frances, Waterman, IL, John Frances, Linden, IN, and Joseph and Myette Frances, Bolingbrook, IL; grandchildren, Thomas Shipp, Andrew Frances, Deanna (Tim) Tausch, Lauren Frances, Rachel Frances and Ava Frances; and her sister, Lana Roberts (John Carroll), Milan.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Harlan "Whitey" and Dennis Roberts, and two sisters, Garnet Barnes and Beverly Maher.
