Nancy Carol Hancq (nee Michalski), passed away February 12, 2016 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, Ill. Nancy was a long term resident of Riverwood Rehab in East Moline, Ill.

Funeral arrangements are being conducted by Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island, Ill., Per Nancy's wishes cremation will be accorded. A Memorial Mass in Nancy's honor will be held on a near future date. Her cremaines will be interred next to her daughter, Charissa in St. Mary's Cemetery, Plainfield, Ill., during a private service.

Nancy was born January 29, 1941 in La Salle, Ill., the daughter of Walter and Wanda Michalski. Nancy was united in marriage to Gary L. Hancq Sr., on January 9, 1960 in La Salle. Nancy was quick witted, a history buff, a wordsmith and enjoyed the outdoors and camping with her family.

Survivors include her loving and loyal former husband, Gary L. Hancq Sr., Port Byron, Ill.; son, Gary L. Hancq Jr., Booneville, Ind.; grandson, Jeffery Gerard Hancq (Mindy), Columbus, Ohio; nieces, Joan Hudson of Mo., and Mary Brown of Ill.; and nephew, Marty Michalski of Texas. She was preceded in death by her daughter Charissa Elizabeth in 1983; her parents; and brothers, Walter Jr., and Albert Michalski of La Salle.
