Nancy S. Rasmussen, 79, of Andalusia, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. A combined memorial visitation for Nancy and her husband, George, who passed away on January 16, 2022, will be from 4 pm to 7 pm, Wednesday, March 15th at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Memorials may be made to University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital, Iowa City.

Nancy Reecher was born on March 14, 1943, in Sterling, ILL. a daughter of Clarence and Marion (Reed) Reecher. She married George Rasmussen on June 11, 1961, in Sterling. Nancy was a licensed beautician for 59 years, retiring in 2020. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, the Ozarks, boating and watching wildlife from her window.

Survivors include her daughter, Wendy (Richard) Doss, Reynolds; adopted daughter/granddaughter, Katrina (Dustin) Downing, Reynolds; granddaughter, Dana Doss, Aledo; great grandchildren, Aubrey Kennedy, Triston Doss, Jemma Downing, Trachelle  Doss and Brinley Doss; sisters, Carol Allen and Kay Donegan.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; a daughter, Kristine Welch; and a brother, Dwayne Reecher.
