Nancy L. Rursch, 88, of Edgington, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024 at home surrounded by family.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Edgington Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Edgington. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 pm on Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 801 W. Edgington St, Reynolds. Burial will be in Edgington Cemetery. Memorials may be left in care of Edgington Cemetery or Edgington Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Nancy was born on October 26, 1935 in Muscatine, IA, a daughter of Willett and Lura (Tyler) McGinnis. She married Orville Rursch on June 26, 1955 at Joy Methodist Church and he preceded her in death on April 23, 2019. In her early years, Nancy worked at the bank in both Aledo and Joy. She later stayed home to help raise her two children.

Nancy enjoyed time with family, especially the grandkids and great grandkids. She enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and Bulls, as well as NASCAR. She wintered in Arizona for many years. Nancy was a member of Edgington Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Edgington.

Those left to cherish Nancy's memory include her daughter, Debbie Tomlin; daughter-in-law, Shay Lemon; grandchildren, Matthew (Elisabeth) Tomlin and Brandon (Wendy) Tomlin; great-grandchildren, Nataleigh, Addyson, Rayce, Lance, Lucas, Sophia, Wyatt, Jax and Ezra; sisters, JoAnn Mier and Lynne Clark; sisters-in-law, JoAnn, Denise and Dorothy Rursch; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; parents; son, Dave Rursch; brothers-in-law, Albert Mier, Marvin, Donald, John Robert, Duane (Barbara) and Clair (Shirley) Rursch; sister-in-law, Lois (Nels) Anderson; two nieces; and one nephew.
