Obituary

Nathan E. Hildreth, 65, Moline, IL passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Nathan was born on June 10, 1961 to Gerald and Lorraine (Lobretto) Hildreth in Hawthorne, CA. The family later moved to the Quad Cities where he attended school. After earning his diploma, Nathan began a career in manufacturing. He worked as a machinist at several companies before retiring from Sivyer Steel, where he had been employed for 13 years.

On December 9, 1995 he was united in marriage to Debbie Walston at Westward Terrace in Moline. The couple made their home in Moline with their daughter and beloved cats.

In his spare time, Nathan loved talking on his Ham Radio to people all over the world. He also enjoyed fishing in the Hennepin Canal and Rock River. Nathan liked riding and working on his motorcycle. He could fix anything and was always tinkering with something, whether it was his vehicle or one belonging to one of his friends, family, or neighbors. He recently cherished being able to teach his grandsons how to work on cars.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 30 years, Debbie and their cat, LJ Turd; daughter, Elisa (Michael) Rice; grandsons, Shondel Hammitt-Rice and Bailey Hammit-Rice; and siblings, Anthony Wright, Felicia Wright, Sunny Hildreth, Missy Hildreth, Denise Smith, Kori Hildreth, and Gerie Hildreth; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Randy Wright.
