Neal A. Mazzarollo, 58, of Milan, died Thursday, May 31, 2018 at home surrounded by family. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Those attending visitation are asked to wear their favorite St. Louis Cardinals or Chicago Cubs attire. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made in care of the family.
Neal was born in Rock Island on September 19, 1959, a son of Lester Sr. and Iris Nugent Mazzarollo. He graduated from Alleman High School in 1977.
Neal married Jill Pedersen at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island, in 1981. They had two children together and later divorced.
Neal worked behind the desk at Town and Country Bowling lanes in Rock Island for many years. He was known as the voice behind the counter, especially during moonlight bowling. He also sold cars for 10 years and most recently had worked for XPAC in Milan.
Neal was a member of the Rock Island County Bowling Association Hall of Fame. He was an avid bowler and golfer who bowled 16 perfect games of 300 and had a hole in one at Highland Springs Golf Course, hole 17. He was also a member of the Rock Island Moose Lodge 190 and the 28th Street "Gang." He was a huge St. Louis Cardinals Fan.
Those left to cherish his memory include his special partner of 15 years, Edith Graves, Milan; children, Nicholas Mazzarollo, Rock Island and Jennifer (Michael) Cramblett, Bettendorf; father and step-mother, Lester Sr. and Brenda Mazzarollo; granddaughter, Grace Cramblett; siblings, Ricki Mazzarollo, Randi Barnes, Leslie Scharer, Les Mazzarollo, Shawn (Heather) Mazzarollo and Iris Mazzarollo, all of Rock Island; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and his adopted brother, Ray Lind.
He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Iris and Victor Kennison.
