Nicole R. Roberts, 41, of Phoenix, Az., beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30pm Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6:30pm Thursday at the funeral home. Private inurnment will take place at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made in care of the family.
Nicole was born November 30, 1973, in Silvis, Illinois, to Pamela Sevier (Sawyer) and the late Michael T. Roberts. From an early age Nicole had a love for life, adventure and animals. She was truly a free-spirit who loved the outdoors. She greatly enjoyed traveling to the beaches of Mexico, photography, her plants, as well as cooking/entertaining. Having been raised in Illinois, she was an avid White Sox, Bears, and Blackhawks fan. She once caught a puck on her birthday at a Blackhawks game.
Nicole had a passion for music and concerts and loved listening to her favorite artist, Rob Thomas. She was magnetic at making friends and was a true people person; which lead her to a successful career in the food and beverage industry. Nicole adored animals and they were always drawn to her. She will be deeply missed by her pets Payton "Hairy Dog" and Mighty "Rat Dog". Nicole found her true calling as a beloved mother to her three beautiful children Baylie R. Boyd, Cecilia N. "Ceci" Nino, and Sergio "Keko" Nino III.
She leaves behind her loving memories to be cherished by her; children; mother, Pamela Sevier (Sawyer); sister, Melissa Roberts; nieces, Josie Roberts and Sydney Qualls; nephew, Dalton Qualls; her best friend Christine "Chrissy" Wilson and her former husbands, Josh Boyd and Sergio Nino, Jr. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends. She was proceeded in death by her father Michael Roberts; grandparents, Don and Carol Sevier; and great grandmother, Elsie Wright.
