Norma Arlene McGrath, 85, of Silvis, formerly of Andalusia, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made in care of Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Arlene was born on November 28, 1938 in Toledo, IL, a daughter of Carl and Eleanor (Swickard) Oakley. She graduated from Macon High School in 1956. Arlene married Richard McGrath in 1984 and he preceded her in death on November 1, 2002.

Arlene helped open the Holiday Inn in Davenport in the 1960's, before going on to work in the transportation industry for many years. Her hobbies included oil painting, reading and traveling.

Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother, Ted Oakley.
