Norma Maxine Pettit, 90, of Taylor Ridge, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at her home. Services will be private at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Private burial will follow in Edgington Cemetery.

Norma was born on November 12, 1931, in Fairfield, Iowa, a daughter of Raymond and Mable (Haskins) Hill. She married James "Jim" Pettit on June 9, 1960 in Moline. Norma worked in several occupations before retiring from the Rock Island County Mental Health Board. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish Norma's memory include her husband, Jim; children, Donna (Ken) Wangeline, Moline, Barb (Jerry) Propps, Moline, and Linda (David) Basala, Rock Island; grandchildren, Sherry, Kenny, Mike, Angie, James, Tina, Ricky, David, Nicholas, Steven, and Ryan; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters; and 1 brother.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sandra Blaylock; son, Jerrold Stanley; grandson, Adam; and great granddaughter, Vicki.
