Obituary

"Lord, now lettest Thou Thy servant depart in peace, according to Thy Word." It has pleased our Lord to take to himself, on the evening of Dec. 22, 2014, our beloved mother and grandmother and sister in Christ, Norma Gertrude Wollenburg (nee Rethmeier). She fell asleep in peace to family singing the liturgy, in which Christ has come to her all her life, and to the hymns of Christmas, and awoke to heavenly joy in Him...

Services for Norma Wollenburg, 88, of Milan, will be 10:00am Tuesday December 30, 2014 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00-7:00pm at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be left to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or Avonlea Cottage, Milan.
