Oleta A. Erichsen, 79, of Moline, passed away Thursday August 30, 2018 at Amber Ridge Assisted Living, Moline. Funeral services will be 10am Monday September 10, 2018 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-5:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chapel Grove Cemetery, Taylor Ridge. Memorials may be left to GiGi's Playhouse. Oleta was born on May 15, 1939 in Taylor Ridge, the daughter of James "Art" and Bessie (Bewley) Duncan. She was a graduate of the final graduating class at Reynolds High School in 1957. Oleta had been employed in the claims Department with John Deere Insurance and later with Sentry Insurance, Davenport, retiring in 2016. Family was the center of her world.  She was a devoted daughter always at her mother's side, and her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren and attending their activities.  Her Tuesday Card Clubs were always a highlight and her "Club" girls an extension of her family. Survivors include her children, Michelle(Chuck) Hughes, Bettendorf, Matthew Erichsen, Silvis; grandchildren, Connor and Kellen Hornbuckle, Elizabeth and Connor Hughes; brother, James(Janis) Duncan, CA; lifelong friend, Donna Behne; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Duncan and grandson, Nathan Hornbuckle.
