Orville George Wilson, 76, of Milan, passed away Saturday May 14, 2016 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

Funeral services will be 10:00am Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Davenport. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm  Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, with Military Honors by Moline American Legion Post 246. Memorials may be left to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Davenport.

Orville was born on April 30, 1940 in Des Moines, IA, the son of Wilbur and Buena (Huff) Wilson. He married Nancy L. Johnston on January 11, 1962 in the Reynolds United Methodist Church. She preceded him in death on July 14, 2011.

George was a loving husband, father and grandfather, with a infectous smile and loving heart. He had been employed by Farmall, Rock Island and later by Navistar Springfield, OH, where he served as a steward for UAW Local 1309 and Local 402.George was devoted to Milan youth through countless hours spent with Milan little league and as a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church serving as a personal greeter.

Survivors include his children and spouses, Orville George and Lee Ann Wilson Jr., Waynesville, MO., John and Kim Wilson, Port St. Lucie, FL., Nanette and David Taylor, East Moline; 14 grandchildren and spouses; 26 great grandchildren; brother, Wilbur (Diane) Wilson, Orlando, FL; brother in law, Larry Young, Matherville; nieces and nephews; special friends, Curt, Sharon and Mary and numerous close neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patricia Young.
