Pamela (Hood) Bennett, 73, of Collinsville, Texas, formerly of Rock Island, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at home.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 pm on Sunday, January 15th, 2023 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, with visitation starting at 2:30 pm. The family asks that everyone wear their best casual attire in honor of Pam.

Pam was born on September 25, 1949 in Rock Island, IL, a daughter of Virgil and Marjorie (Showers) Hood. She graduated from Joliet West High School. She worked in the insurance industry for most of her career, until retiring to become a rancher. She thoroughly enjoyed her time on the ranch caring for her various cows and horses. Her other hobbies included sewing, traveling, caring for her puppies, and enjoying all that life had to offer.

Those left to cherish her memory include her nephew and family, David (Tamaho) Hood and Pam's "granddaughter", Mila.

She was preceded by her parents and sister, Patricia Lynn Hood.
