Pamela Jo Gaylor, 67, Milan, IL passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at her home. There will be a visitation from 9-10 AM with a memorial service following at 10 AM on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Memorials preferred to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Milan Police Department for their caring support.

Pam was born on December 27, 1954 to Donavin and Joanne (Veronda) Sharp in Moline, IL. She grew up in Milan and graduated from Rock Island High School. She then lived in California for a short time before returning to the area. She made her home in Milan where she raised her son, Shawn and grandson, Donavin.

Pam greatly enjoyed her work as a custodian for Augustana where she was employed until her retirement in 2019.

Pam was an outgoing person who was known to be caring, kind and selfless—always willing to help anyone. She took care of her parents and neighbors, continuing to mow their lawns until her passing. Pam also loved caring for animals and would bring in cats, dogs, and strays. She especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother, Joanne; son, Shawn (Lisa) Gaylor; sisters, Lori (Nick) Sharp, Patti (Mark) Layer, Susan (Terry) Helmers, and Roxanne (Frank) Sharp-Rodjius; grandchildren, Courtney (Joey), Donavin, Isabella, Tre, and Patience; great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Tristan, Kayden, Kolton, Maria, Elisya, and Seanna; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donavin; and granddaughter, Justice.
