Pamela "Pam" Petersen

Pamela "Pam" M. Petersen, 68, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away peacefully at her home on March 15, 2026. 

Born on January 18, 1958, in Davenport, Pam was the beloved daughter of Everett and Emma (Buemann) McDaniel. Pam was united in marriage to Rex R. Petersen Jr. on June 6, 1987. 

Pam found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether she was bowling, enjoying her favorite tunes from the 60s and 70s, or attending her granddaughter's softball games. Her love for family was pure and unwavering; they were truly her world. 

Pam is lovingly remembered by her husband Rex, her children Carrie (Aaron) Maylum and Rex "Trey" Petersen III, and her beloved grandchildren, Emmaly and Keegan Maylum. She will also be deeply missed by her brothers, Dennis and Thomas (Gloria) McDaniel, along with numerous cherished friends who were touched by her kindness and warmth. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson Isaiah Petersen, and her sister Patricia McDaniel. As we gather to honor her memory, we reflect on a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and invaluable connections. 

Visitation for Pam will be held from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory in Rock Island. Following the visitation, she will be laid to rest at Chippiannock Cemetery, where her spirit will continue to inspire those who loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in care of the family. 

Pam will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her, a shining example of love and devotion that will be cherished by her family and friends for all time.
