Pamela "Pam" S. Adams, 75, of Matherville, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at OSF – St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born on January 24, 1950, in Moline, IL, Pam was the beloved daughter of Maxey and June (Trout) Cope. Pam married Frank Adams on May 10, 1969, in Matherville, IL.

Pam was a remarkable woman who fought bravely as a breast cancer survivor and dedicated herself to her community through the ROAR reading program at Winola Grade School. She enjoyed taking trips, going to Lake Warren watching her family boat, ski, and fish. Above all, she adored her grandchildren, ensuring she attended every event and lovingly crafted scrapbooks for each of them. Her special Monday and Friday lunches with her sisters and joyful outings with her friends will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Pam's life was a tapestry woven with love and devotion, especially as a cherished wife to her husband of 56 years, Frank. She is survived by her devoted children, Denise (Bob) Chandler and Jennifer (Jeff) Thurman, as well as her carefully nurtured grandchildren, who will carry her memory forward: Ashlyn (Trever) Appelman, Adam (Shayna) Chandler, Elyse Thurman, and Logan (Lily) Thurman. Pam's legacy extends to her great-grandchild, Cooper Dale Thurman. She also leaves behind her loving siblings, Maxine (Richard) McDonald, Susan Cameron, and James (Vicki) Cope; sisters-in-law, Karen (Gene) Dixon, Georgia (Jim) Foltz, and Betty Adams; alongside numerous cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Roger Cope; and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Cameron, and Mike Adams.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a service following at 12:00 pm at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E 4th St, Milan IL 61264. She will be laid to rest at Reynolds Cemetery. Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Pam will be dearly missed, her spirit forever etched in the hearts of family and friends.
