Patricia J. Baugh-Riechers, 60, of East Moline, passed away Tuesday January 31, 2017 at her home. A memorial service will be held at Two Rivers United Methodist Church, Rock Island, 3:00 p.m. Saturday February 4, 2017. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. until the service. Private inurnment will be at a later date in Peniel Cemetery, Joy, IL. Memorials may be left to the family. Patty was born on November 15, 1956 in Aledo, IL the daughter of Donald and Wilabelle (Gridley) Baugh. She married her immortal beloved Charles (Chuck) Riechers, April 2001. Patty was a graduate of Blackhawk College, earned her bachelor's degree in speech communication from Northern Illinois University and completed her Master's in music education at Western Illinois University. Patty had been employed as a music educator at Jordan Catholic Schools and later at Horace Mann Elementary School, both of Rock Island. Patty was a founding member of Nova Singers, former choir director at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rock Island, former cantor at St. Pius X Catholic Church Rock Island, and performed and directed in numerous Quad City Music Guild productions. She had a beautiful contralto voice, and one of her greatest joys in life was singing with her sister. Survivors include her husband Charles; her 3 dogs, Zoe, Maise and Pippin; sister and brother in law, Tamara Baugh and Mark Swessinger, Rock Island; and a much loved extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents.
