Patricia A. Cotton, 69, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday April 2nd, 2025 at UPH Trinity, Rock Island.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held Saturday April 12, 2025 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island from 3-5pm.

Patricia was born on March 25, 1956 in Mendenhall, Mississippi, the eldest daughter of Lavoise and Virginia (Willis) Cotton.

Patricia had been employed by John Deere for 39 years in the IT and Human Resources Departments and made many amazing friends, whom she loved dearly.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She was a wonderful cook and very creative. She loved doing crafts and making treats with her granddaughters. She was also passionate about history and genealogy. Patricia was the creator of the Facebook group West End Rock Island Illinois. She had a heart of pure gold and donated to many charities. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her beloved son, Kerry (Alissa) Henderson, granddaughters, Ariya and Kamila; siblings, Cynthia Cotton, Millie Cotton, Jeffrey (Holly) Cotton, Greg Cotton, and Octavia (Rae Rae) Cotton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lavoise and Virginia; siblings, Donald, Shirley and LaVerne Cotton.
