Patricia A. Hergert, 85, of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Allure of the Quad Cities.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island, Illinois. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Moline, Illinois.

Patricia was born on December 11, 1940, in Rock Island, the daughter of Otto and Helen (Younger) Engels. She married Daryl Hergert on February 23, 1963, in Rock Island. Patricia graduated from Rock Island High School, Class of 1958. She had been employed at Royal Neighbors of America and Bear Manufacturing Co.

Patricia’s greatest accomplishment was being a strong and loving mother to her children. She enjoyed reading, decorating, doing yardwork, and she loved being with her family.

Those left to cherish Patricia’s memory include her husband of 63 years, Daryl; children, Brian Hergert, Rock Island, Diana (Don) Ballantine, Gilbert, AZ, and Mark (Erin) Hergert, Rock Island; brother, Richard Engels; and sister, Carol Engels.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Marvin and Don Engels.
