IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia "Pat"
J. (Maxwell) Fuller
August 11, 1952 – November 9, 2022
Patricia "Pat" J. Fuller, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Unity Point in Rock Island with her family by her side. Per her wishes, there will be no services. Her family wants everyone to know Pat's life meant the world to them. She loved being a mom, grandma, daughter, sister and aunt.
"Patty" was born on August 11, 1952 in Davenport, Iowa, daughter of her proud and loving parents, James H. Maxwell and Joanne (Barr) Maxwell. Her older brother, "Jimmy" welcomed his little sister home. In the years that followed, Pat welcomed her little brothers, Joe, Tim and Scott and her little sister, Beth to the family as well. They were raised in a good Christian home, were taught to have a great work ethic and to be hard workers.
Pat was thrilled and blessed to be mom to Johnny and Jennifer. Her children and grandchildren were her everything. As a mom and grandma, Pat was always very positive, encouraging and wanted only the best for her family. For several years, Pat was a stay-at-home mom and she was an absolutely terrific mom! John and Jennifer were never hungry and had a mom that would always make them breakfast, lunches and dinner and, of course, dessert. Pat was an excellent baker and she always kept their house clean and tidied while she wore a smile. She never missed any sporting events, concerts or school functions. Pat enjoyed working around the house and working out in the yard and she never asked for help. John and Jennifer's mom made sure to help with homework when needed and Pat, John and Jennifer would play board and video games often. Most importantly, Pat is remembered for her goodnight hugs and kisses.
Grandma Pat was always thoughtful and caring as well as being her grandchildren's #1 supporter of all things they participated in and enjoyed. Pat loved watching and following Rocky sports in which her grandkids were participating. Each one of her grandkids has memories of how their Grandma Pat made the holidays so wonderful and special. Grandma Pat had the ability to pick out the perfect Christmas presents for each one of them every year! She took extra time and thought into planning how she would even wrap presents for each grandchild so it would represent what they loved. Grandma also made sure each grandchild had their favorite food and drinks. A few more memories include staying overnight at Grandma Pat's and watching scary movies, having French toast the next morning, running errands with Grandma Pat, and Grandma Pat always making the very best root beer floats!
Pat graduated from Davenport Central High School, class of 1970. She worked at Howard Johnsons and Eagle Food Stores in her earlier years. She returned to the work force after her children had gotten older. She became a pharmaceutical technician at Walgreens and Omnicare. Pat would respond to John and Jennifer's phone calls when they needed help interpreting medication instructions their children were taking. After retiring, Pat enjoyed going to the gym with Jennifer, taking outdoor walks and babysitting her grand dog, Jax. Most of all, she especially enjoyed spending time with family. Pat was always petite, very smart and picked up things easily. She loved music of all kinds – the popular music of her teens and 20's, church hymns and the Gaithers, Christmas music and more. She loved and followed University of Iowa football and basketball and was an avid Chicago Cubs (go Cubs!) and Bears fan.
Pat was predeceased by her parents, her brother, James Maxwell Jr., and her nephew Jacob Maxwell.
She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her children, son and daughter-in-law, Johnny M. Fuller, Jr. and Erica Fuller and daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer J. Lockhart and Jesse Lockhart; her beloved grandchildren, Victoria and Rob Jusino, Drake Fuller, Jasmine Ragusi, Jada Black, Tyler Fuller, Justice Lockhart and Noah Fuller; her siblings, Joseph L. Maxwell, Timothy C. Maxwell and sister-in-law Cindy Maxwell, Scott M. Maxwell and sister-in-law Luci Maxwell and her sister
Elizabeth "Beth" Martinez and brother-in-law Mike Martinez. Pat left behind her dearly-loved cat, Lucky. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend its appreciation to the RI emergency personnel and the Unity Point Emergency Room staff for their excellent care for Pat and their kindness and empathy toward the family during such a difficult time.
