On the morning of June 26, 2023, Patricia Ruth Romeo went home to be with the Lord.

Pat was born on September 17, 1942 in Moline, the second daughter of Emery and Frances Kasenberg. After graduating from Alleman High School, she married her sweetheart, James S. Romeo on November 25, 1961. Slow dancing with her devoted husband of 61 years was a favorite of hers-they looked so graceful and connected. She loved to reminisce about her wonderful parents and shenanigans with her siblings.  She had a competitive spirit and loved cards and dice games. Her kids, grandkids, and great grandbabies was her passion in life along with gardening. Being outdoors in the sun picking cherries, weeding her strawberries, planting tomatoes and zinnias annually made her happy. She loved Christmas time, picking the perfect Frasier Fir to display her many intricate ornaments.  She was an avid reader and loved journaling especially Bible verses. She didn't want fame or riches. She was very content and simple. She was a believer in Christ and loved to preach his word. During her life she looked forward to being reunited with her grandparents and later her parents and daughter. What she wanted is for everyone to know and love the Lord.

Romeo, Margaret (David) Lavallee; grandchildren, Amanda (Steve) Newby, Lara (Paul) Taylor, Casey (Rachel) Lavallee, Carly (Nick) Wytas, Logan and Morgan Lavallee, Lili Saylor, Faith O'Brien; great grandchildren Carter, Payton, Harlee, Wess, Levi, Lincoln, and Paul Jr. Siblings Mary (Harold) Duffield, Jim (Joan) Kasenberg, Tom ( Darlene) Kasenberg, Kitty (Chris) Moore, Ann ( Terry) Klauer, Nancy (Norman) Allbritton, Peggy (Tom) Circello, Amy (Bernie) Mack, Joan( Kevin) McCarthy.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Anne Romeo.
