Patricia "Patty" L. Burford, 65, of Sherrard passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 25th, 2023 at Cable Cemetery, Cable, IL. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 24th at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. In honor of Patty, the family requests that everyone be dressed in their best "casual" wear. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left in care of the Sherrard Veterans Memorial.

Patty was born on February 10, 1958 in Moline, IL, a daughter of James and Velma Crandall. She married Larry Burford on August 6, 1988. Patty had a very loving and caring personality. She always put everyone else first by taking care of them in various ways, whether it be in playing the role of wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, or friend. This included cooking family dinners on the farm every Sunday, keeping tabs on everyone through social media, or baking her famous cupcakes, earning her the title of "Patty Cakes". She also enjoyed caring for her plants, riding the golf cart, online shopping, mushroom hunting, and playing her lucky slot machines. Patty was a very active part of the Crandall Farms honey business.

Those left to cherish Patty's memory include her husband, Larry; father, James Crandall; daughters, Christina (Kyle), Summer (Brandon), and Mandy (Joe); grandchildren, Andrew, Aiden, Annelise, Jace, and Memphis; brothers, Phillip and Brian Crandall; and close friends, Brenda Sehmann and Peggy Thompson.

Patty was preceded in death by her mother, Velma Crandall, and grandparents.
