Obituary

Patricia M. Logston, of Cable, Ill., passed away Friday June 29, 2018 at UnityPoint- Trinity, Rock Island.

A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Cable Community Church in Cable, with visitation from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. Inurnment will be at a later date at Cable Cemetery.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Patricia was born March 1, 1939 in Cable, Ill., a daughter of Harry "Pat" and Bernice McCaw Dawson. She married Lawrence D. Logston on October 4, 1958. They would be celebrating 60 years of marriage this October.

Patricia was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma. She loved her family and will be greatly missed by all.

She attended Cable Community Church. She and Lawrence enjoyed going on short-trips and finding treasures at flea-markets. Patricia loved hummingbirds and collecting snowmen.

Surviving are her husband, Lawrence, of Cable; children, Debbie Meskan, and her husband Richard, Matherville, Peggy Leebold, Boden, Gary Logston, Milan, Larry Logston, Sherrard, Gene Logston, Sherrard, and Dustin Logston, (a grandson whom she raised); eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; brothers, Bill Dawson, Arizona, Terry Dawson, Texas, and Dean Dawson, Sherrard; sister, Linda Nichols, Rock Island; numerous nieces, nephews, and additional family; and close family friend, Sandy.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; son, Timothy Allen Logston; son-in-law, Terry Leebold; granddaughter, Madison Logston; four brothers, Wayne, Jim, Raymond and Mike; and four sisters, Dorothy, Irene, Shirley and Mary Ann.

Patricia's family wishes to express a special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff of UnityPoint-Trinity, Rock Island, for their kindness and care.
