Patricia A. Brandmeyer, 90, of Rock Island, died Friday, January 31, 2025, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity, Rock Island. Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded. A memorial visitation will be from 12 – 1 pm Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island. A memorial mass will immediately follow at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island. Inurnment will be private at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made in care of the Illinois Retired Firefighters Association.
Patricia was born in Mystic, Iowa on December 12, 1934, a daughter of Edwin and Ella Foster Malmstrom. She graduated from United Township High School in East Moline, IL, in 1952.
Patricia married John R. Brandmeyer, Sr. on May 23, 1953, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2015.
Patricia retired from the Rock Island County Clerk's Office after 17 years of service. She looked forward to getting together with the ladies' class of 1952 for card club once a month.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children and daughers and sons-in-law, John (Janna) Brandmeyer, Jr., Rock Island, Mindy Brandmeyer, Tom (Deb) Brandmeyer, Moline, Bob (Roz) Brandmeyer, Layfette, IN, Bill (Marla) Brandmeyer, Rochester, MN, Pam Postel, Coal Valley, Mary Henning, Rock Island, Theresa (Billy) Coffenberry, Colorado Springs, CO and Karen (Mike) Kelemen, Rock Island; 25 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Noah and Becky Miner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Steve Brandmeyer, granddaughter, Brooklyn Grishaber, brothers, Ike and Dale Malmstrom, sisters, Nancy Passini, Beth Krack, Judy Kassel and Joann Hubbard and son-in-law, Brad Postel.
