Patricia Louise Nations, 82, Rock Island, IL passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Friendship Manor in Rock Island. No services are planned. Memorials may be made to the family.

Patty was born on April 1, 1944, in Moline, Illinois, to Anthony and Jennie (Stark) York and grew up in Rock Island. Patty was raised by Raymond and Jennie Hougland. After high school, she started a family and devoted her life to caring and providing for her children. She worked at Miller Container and later as a welder at International Harvester. Following the sale of IH, she began a career with Kmart, where she worked for 30 years before retiring in 2014. Throughout much of her life, Patty held multiple jobs, including cleaning banks and other businesses, to support her family.

Patty was known for her hardworking nature and dedication to those she loved. In her free time, she enjoyed watching "I Love Lucy" and "The Golden Girls". Most of all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Patty is survived by her children, Robert Widener Jr. , Steve (Crystal) Ford, Chelle (Jeffry) Ferry, and Kim Gibson; sister and best friend, Jeanette Laird; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father Anthony York and parents, Jennie and Ray; Brother-in-law, Dennis Laird and daughter, Debbie French.
