Patricia Nimrick, 96 of Taylor Ridge peacefully passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024, at her home.  A memorial service to honor Mrs. Nimrick's life will be held at 6 pm on Thursday, 5/23/24 at the Wheelan Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory in Reynolds, IL.  Prior to the service, friends and family are invited to a memorial visitation from 3-6 at the funeral home.  Private interment will be at a later date in the Chapel Grove Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Unity Point Hospice.

Born on October 28, 1927, in Taylor Ridge, Patricia was the beloved daughter of James and Amanda (Young) Curry.  She married George Nimrick on May 21, 1955, in Milan.  Patricia devoted her life to caring for her family as a dedicated homemaker.  She found joy in camping, gardening, square dancing, and spending winters in Texas with George for 20 years.  She also cherished time spent with family.  Patricia was a faithful member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Andalusia.

Patricia leaves behind a legacy of love survived by her children, Brian Nimrick, Taylor Ridge, Brent (Jody) Nimrick, Taylor Ridge, Jeff Nimrick, Monmouth, Jerry Nimrick, Taylor Ridge, and Georgia 'Missi' Mapes, Taylor Ridge.  She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Tyler (Holly) Nimrick, Branden (Miranda) Nimrick, Ryan (Tatiana) Nimrick, Blade (Kristen) Mapes, Danielle Nimrick (Brandon Dicus) Ashlee Asplund (Steven Murphy), and Jacob Mapes.  Adored by her great-grandchildren, Kynlee, Kye, Collin, Cade, Ava, and Soren.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George and siblings, Alvin Curry, Mabel Kelleher, Esther Boney, Harold Curry, and Mildred Ames.
