Patricia K. Rowell, 67, of Moline, formerly of Chicago, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Bettendorf. Service for Ms. Rowell will be 3 pm, Friday at the Knox Chapel of Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 2106-7th Avenue, Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to her grandchildren's education fund in c/o her son, Eric Rowell.

Patricia was born on January 8, 1954 in Chicago, a daughter of Thomas and Georgia (Owens) Rowell. She spent the bulk of her career working in advertising, both in Chicago and San Francisco.  She also had stints working for Ebony Magazine and the Goodman Theater in Chicago.  Patricia loved to write and had written a play that was produced off-Broadway in New York.  She loved reading, music and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also an avid fan of Downtown Abbey and all things Motown.

Survivors include her son, Eric Rowell, Rock Island, grandchildren, Anna and Jude Rowell, Rock Island and Saurabh and Gaurav Patwal, Rock Island; siblings, Priscilla Rowell, Chicago, Thomas Rowell, Goshen, Indiana, Terrence Rowell, Chicago.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Phillip Rowell, and a daughter in law, Amy Rowell.
