Obituary
Patricia A. Stimpson, 88, of Rock Island, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2014 at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island. Burial is at the National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation is 9 am until service time Monday at the church. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Patricia Ann Dumas was born Sept. 5, 1925 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. She married Kenneth J. Stimpson on Jan. 3, 1945 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island.
She worked many years as a loan officer at the Metro Bank, East Moline.
She and her husband enjoyed traveling to Myrtle Beach and the Florida Coast.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; children, Douglas (Mary) Stimpson, Bettendorf, Dianna Ford, Rock Island, and David (Patti) Stimpson, Rock Island; grandchildren, Erica, Denise, Tracey, Troy, Adam and Katie; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Kay (Bob) Ryan, Aledo.
