Patricia J. Sheldahl, 91, of West Liberty, IA, formerly Milan, IL, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the Simpson Memorial Home, West Liberty, IA.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, West Liberty, IA. Visitation will be held one-hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting with arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Croix Hospice or Simpson Memorial Home, West Liberty.

Patricia was born June 28, 1932, in Des Moines, Iowa, a daughter of George A. and Lula (Reynolds) Wingert. She married David R. Sheldahl on September 20, 1953, in Des Moines, Iowa. He preceded her in death on March 28, 2016. Patricia worked as a clerk at Fannie May Candy Company for 13 years before retiring. She was a longtime member of St. James Lutheran Church in Rock Island and also attended Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in West Liberty. Patricia enjoyed oil painting, art, sewing, and cake decorating.

Those left to cherish Patricia's memory are her children, Diane (Kevin) Moyer, Plymouth, MN, and David M. (LeeAnn) Sheldahl, West Liberty, IA; grandsons, Ben (Jennie) Sheldahl, Mesquite, TX, and Colin (Stefani) Sheldahl, West Liberty, IA; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Madyson, and Wyatt; great-great grandchild, Zelena; nieces, Dixie, George Anne, Penny, and Terry; and nephew, Kay Raymond.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, George C. Wingert, Richard R. Wingert, and Frances Lancaster.
