Patrick T. Kennedy, 74, of Rock Island, IL, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, IL.
A memorial visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home & Crematory, 3030 - 7th Ave., Rock Island. Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family to be designated later.
Patrick was born March 21, 1941 in Rock Island, a son of Richard F. and Anna Louise (White) Kennedy. He graduated from Rock Island High School. He married Linda C. Simmons on July 19, 1980 in Rock Island.
Pat worked at the family business, Mi-Pa-Nora Lamp Mfg. Co., for over 50 years. This was truly his passion. He enjoyed life and people, and always had a smile on his face and in his heart. He was an avid Bingo player and loved his dogs, "Dash" and "Baby".
Surviving are his wife, Linda Kennedy; children (and spouses), Mike (Kitty) Grabowski, Tracey (Scott) Holdorf, Shawn Kennedy, Katie (Mark) Schnowske, Richard (Rennee) Kennedy, Ryan (Kim) Kennedy, Doug (Stace) Freeze, and Karice Brodnax; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Michael (Darlene) Kennedy and Casey Kennedy; sister, Bridget (Steve) Hull; and numerous nieces, nephews and additional family.
Patrick was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nora Kate Wood; grandchildren, Jessica Flynn and Hunter Kennedy; and daughter-in-law, Dawn Kennedy.
