Patsy L. Smith, 78, of Moline, formerly of Milan, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Riverwood Rehab, East Moline, IL.

Services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan, where visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thursday. Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Patsy was born June 23, 1936 in Rock Island, a daughter of Clarence and Ardelia Baxter Frederickson. She married Walter L. Smith on December 17, 1955 in Rock Island.

In addition to being a homemaker, Patsy worked at Servus Rubber for 10 years, then at I.H., Farmall Works for 11 years, and later at Jaydon, Inc. in Milan. She enjoyed playing cards at the Elks Club, crocheting, sewing, bingo, puzzles, and bowled in area leagues for many years.

Surviving are her husband, Walter, of Moline; children (and spouses), Lee (Lori) Smith, Milan, Vickie Mortell, Milan, Linda (Brian) Goeden, Colona, and Jay (Karissa) Smith, Appleton, WI; grandchildren, Eric Miller, Danielle Brown, Daniel Smith, Leslie Stokes, Brian Mortell, Juliana Lee, Chassity Smith, Cody Smith and Katrielle Smith; great-grandchildren, Adam Miller, Natalie Miller, MacKenzie Brown, Quinten Brown, Kyler Smith, Evan Blaser, Braydan Smith, Quintin Goeden, Quincy Goeden, Amador Goeden, Tyler Mortell, Zoey Hare, Kinkayde Mortell, Mariah Mortell, Andrew Mortell, Eli Mortell and Savannah Lancour-Smith; brother, William Frederickson, Rock Island; sisters, Carol Platt, Rock Island, Kathleen Cord, Moline, and Yvonne (Jerry) Jared-Dickson, East Moline; and many nieces, nephews, and relatives.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Betty DeLarcerda and Shirley Reed.
