Paul R. Hancq, 81, of Andalusia, died Friday, January 27, 2017 at UnityPoint Health -Trinity Rock Island.   Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan.  There will be no services.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Paul was born in Rock Island on December 18, 1935, a son of Raymond A. and Ellen Rounds Hancq.  He married Alta Benningfield on January 26, 1957 in Rock Island.  She preceded him in death in 2000.

Paul worked for Servus Rubber Company which later became Norcross Safety Products in Rock Island for 52 years.

He enjoyed fishing, going to yard sales, playing euchre, watching western movies, country music and guns.  Paul was an avid Chicago Bears fan.

Survivors include his children, Ray A. (Carin) Hancq, Andalusia and Sherrie (Ronald) Moore, Fla.; grandchildren, Jennifer (Kurt) Draper, Crystal (John) Lee, Tracy Johnson, Jenaie, Brianna and Brennan Moore; great-grandchildren, Braydyn and Mikayla Draper, Tyler and Brandi Lee, Katelyn and Ella Johnson and TJ; brother, Marvin Hancq, Rock Island; girlfriend, Arena Morgan; and nephews, Cyrille and Pat Verhelst.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, daughter, Laura Schubreck and sister, Beverly Verhelst.
