Paul D. Hillyer, 78, of Rock Island, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. A memorial visitation will be Sunday from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to family.

Paul was born on December 7, 1943 in Plymouth, ILL., a son of Wayne and Suzie (Osborne) Hillyer. He married Sandra Hansen in 1998 in Rock Island. Paul retired as a machinist at John Deere Harvester Work, East Moline. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra; son, John Hillyer, Rock Island; stepchildren, Pam (Manuel) Barrios, Milan, Christopher Hansen, Rock Island and Tammy (Rob) Robinson, Virginia; grandchildren, Dallas, Jordan, and Brice; step grandchildren, Sadie, Anthony, Alex, Lilly and Adam; great grandchildren, Isaac, Eric, Makaylah, Conner, Jaxson and Deacon; and a sister, Beverly Bell, Carbondale, ILL.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jack, Gene, and Mac Hillyer;   stepchildren, Amanda Hansen and John Hansen, Jr. Online condolences may be left for the family at wheelanpressly.com
