Paul S. Nelson, 72, of Moline, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at St. Anthony's Nursing and Rehab, Rock Island.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 25th at Zion Lutheran Church, Taylor Ridge. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Taylor Ridge. Memorials may be left in care of ARC of the Quad Cities.

Paul was born on April 10, 1953 in Aledo, IL, a son of Robert "Bob" and Arlene (Schave) Nelson. He enjoyed spending time at the Opportunity Center for their day program. Paul's hobbies included singing and listening to music, bird watching on the farm and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals.

Those left to cherish Paul's memory include his siblings, Barbara (Hallace) Chapman, Viola, Sharon Hart, Orion, Dennis Nelson, Milan and David Nelson, Moline; and several nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Clifford Hart Jr. and sister-in-law, Jeri Nelson.

The family would like to thank the staff at Smith Square in Moline and St. Anthony's in Rock Island for their support and care of Paul.
