Paul "Elliot" Rasmussen, 29, of Rock Island, died Sunday, August 25, 2019 at his home.  Services will be 1 pm Friday, August 30th, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island.  Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Thursday, August 29th at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Elliot was born in Silvis, Ill. on September 5, 1989, a son of Paul A. and Sherry L. (Mlekush) Rasmussen.

Elliot worked at the Holiday Inn and for Civil Constructors.  He loved anything outdoors including, hiking, fishing, camping, swimming, Frisbee and flying kites.  He also loved cats.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Sherry Reid, Bettendorf; daughter, Natalee Emma Lynn Rasmussen, Rock Island; sisters, Emily (Justin) Iverson, Rock Island and Beth Rasmussen, East Moline; his partner, Jessica Pruis, Rock Island; step-children, Brayden, Roeign and Teigan Pruis; nieces, Hadley and Tenley McGinnis and Alora Iverson; and nephew, Ares Iverson; grandfather, Ronald Mlekush; uncles and aunts, Steve and Paula Rasmussen, John and Vicki Rasmussen, Robyn Hamlin, Rick and Vicki Mlekush, Keith Mlekush, Mark and Maryann Mlekush; cousins, Matt Rasmussen, Faith Boyle, Kody Hamlin, and Jeremy, Janell, Joel, Gabe, Angelina Mlekush.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Rasmussen; grandparents, William "Bill" and Winifred "Jan" Rasmussen, Dorothy Mlekush; uncle, Ben Hamlin.
