Paulette A. Souza, 68, of Rock Island, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at her home.  A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Paulette was born on May 20, 1948 in Humboldt, Iowa, a daughter of Lawrence and Dolores Sweeney Terwilliger.  She married John Souza in 1971 in Rock Island.  Paulette worked 3rd shift for 14 years at the Shell gas station in Milan.  During those years,  she developed a special bond with many officers of the Milan Police Department.  She greatly enjoyed painting, crafts and reading.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, John; daughter, Kris (Daniel Griego) Souza, Moline; son, Andrew (Blanca) Souza, Rock Island; grandchildren, Killian, Kyra, Ethaniel, Jason, Madison, Angelina and Nathan; great grandson, Kingston; siblings, Mike Terwilliger and Geri Olson, both of Iowa; and many other loving family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents and twin sisters in infancy.
