Pauline J. Carlstedt, 96, of Rock Island, formerly of Batavia, Ill, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Batavia, along with inurnment at Batavia West Side Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Friendship Manor, Rock Island in Pauline's memory.

Pauline was born on June 17, 1925 in Batavia, IL, the daughter of Axel and Ruth (Borg) Johnson.  She married her high school sweetheart, Donald Carlstedt, on May 24, 1947 in Batavia.  Pauline worked as an RN for Copley Hospital and Dr. W.G. Eilert M.D. office in Aurora, IL.  When her and Donald started having children she got the privilege to stay home and take care of them.  Pauline enjoyed reading, crosswords puzzles, golfing, being a socialite, and camping up at Devil's Lake, WI.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Pauline is survived by her children, Connie (Dave) Coene, Barbara (Bill) Wyllie, Thomas (Janet) Carlstedt, and Robert (Marilyn) Carlstedt; nephew, Peter (Ann) Carlstedt; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Carlstedt; parents; brother, Walter Johnson; and daughter-in-law, Laura Carlstedt.
