Pearlie M. King, 67, of Rock Island, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island.

​Funeral service will be 12:00pm on Monday, May 2, 2016, at Pentecostal Church of God, 1234 Ripley St., Davenport, IA, 52803.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island.

​Pearlie Mae was born on June 15, 1948, in Jackson, MS, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Sutton) McDaniel.  Pearlie, affectionately known as Mimi, grew up on the west side of Chicago prior to relocating her family to Ohio and later returning to Illinois in 1984.

Over a 40 year time span, Pearlie worked in various fields from automative to baker; as well product inspector, to provide for her family.  Once she left the workforce, Pearlie dedicated her efforts to becoming a devoted homemaker.  Although known for her flair for shopping and being well dressed, Pearlie had a heart of gold; she was thoughtful, giving and a spitfire!  She loved life! Pearlie was an active member of the Pentecostal Church of God for more than 20 years.

​Pearlie is survived by her childhood sweetheart, Charles Davis, of Rock Island; her children, Nathaniel White, of Rock Island; Angela M. Taylor, of St. Robert, Missouri; and Yolanda M. King, of Woodbridge, Virginia; her aunt Joanna White, sister, Ruby Best; brother, John Henry White; nephew, John White, nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Joanne White and son, Jermaine S. White.
