Phyllis M. Bosold, 85, of Milan, died Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at her home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am Monday, April 6, 2015 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Milan. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Sunday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Burial will be in Sherrard Cemetery. Memorials may be made in care of Intouch Adult Day Services, Moline.

Phyllis was born in Reynolds, Ill. on Jan. 8, 1930, a daughter of Harvey and Florence McShane Whan. She married Donald Bosold on June 7, 1947 in Havana, Ill. He preceded her in death on June 21, 1991.

Phyllis was a homemaker and former 4-H leader. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Milan, and the Altar and Rosary Society of the church. She was a longtime Cubs fan and enjoyed riding and watching her horse.

Survivors include her children (and spouses), son, Mike (Cindy) Bosold, Milan, daughter, Anne Bosold, Milan and daughter, Sharon (Steve) Schneider, Flanagan, Ill.; six grandchildren; one step-grandson; six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother, Jack (Ann) Whan, Sherrard; sister, Janice (Don) Jahn, Taylor Ridge; sister in law, Gaynor Whan, Moline; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; parents; and brother, Bill Whan.
