Randy A. Ramsey, 57, of West Des Moines, IA, formerly of Milan, IL, passed away Sunday August 23, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines, IA.
In accordance with Randy's wishes, no services are planned. A private family gathering was held. Arrangements were entrusted to Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Memorials may be made to the Central Iowa Blues Society.
Randy was born April 15, 1958 in Milan, IL, a son of Billy Joe and Ina (James) Ramsey. He graduated from Rock Island High School. He married Debbie M. Rebello on February 2, 2012 in Des Moines, IA.
Randy was currently working at Heska Des Moines in Pleasant Hill, IA. Prior to moving to West Des Moines, he worked at Case I.H. until their closing.
Randy was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed blue's music. He was a member of the Mississippi Valley Blues Society and was an active volunteer with the Central Iowa Blues Society. He enjoyed playing harmonica and guitar, as well as cooking and barbecuing.
Surviving are his wife, Debbie, of West Des Moines; children, Derrick (Leanne) Ramsey, Moline, IL, and David Ramsey, Rock Island; stepchildren, Jeremy (Jenny) Sierens, Sherrard, Jon (Angie) Sierens, Moline, and Jamie Rebello, Moline; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Woods and Rylee Ramsey; step-grandchildren, Ethan Sierens, Makayla Sheehan, Mason Sierens and Logan McNeal; his father, Billy Joe Ramsey, Milan; sister, Debbie (Terry) Patrick, Milan; brother, David (Mary) Ramsey, Milan; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Randy was preceded in death by his mother, and his stepson, Jason Sierens.
