Raymond L. Berberich, 86, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday February 28, 2024 at St. Anthonys Nursing and Rehabilitation, Rock Island.

Graveside services will be 11:30am Friday March 15, 2024 at Rock Island National Cemetery, with Military Honors presented by the Vietnam Veterans of America. Those wishing to attend should meet 11:00am at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 -7th Avenue, Rock Island.

Raymond was born on December 22, 1937 in Rock Island, the son of Eugene and Sylvia (Manuel) Berberich. He was a graduate of Rock Island High School. Mr. Berberich was a United States Navy Veteran. On June 5, 1968, Raymond married Helen Hoover in Rock Island.

Raymond had been employed at the former Farmall Works, Rock Island. He then worked for Jenny O Turkey in Wisconsin before retiring in 2006.

He loved fishing and was a avid Chicago Bears fan.

Survivors include his daughters, Norma (Dan) Flynn, Milton, Florida, Avis Tripilas (Deric Thrap), Milan, Ruth (Montana) Hullender, Pensacola, Florida; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Sylvia Roberts, Milan.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen; parents, Eugene and Sylvia; step father, Joseph DeKoster; daughters, Cindy Berberich and Angelia McFarland; son, Raymond Berberich; and sister, Nancy Redman.
