Raymond L. Clayton Jr., 72, of Farmington, MO., (formerly of New Windsor, IL.) passed away Monday March 24, 2014 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Funeral services are 10:00am on Friday March 28, 2014 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan, IL. Visitation will be 4pm to 7pm on Thursday March 27, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association. Mr. Clayton was born on May 26, 1941 in Moline, IL. son of Raymond L. and Janet (Hicks) Clayton Sr. Mr. Clayton had been employed by the City of Rock Island, Sewer Department, for 25 years before retiring. Mr. Clayton enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing pool and darts. Survivors include his children, Linda (Clayton) Eagle, Fulton, IL. Wade (Vikki) Twitty, Coal Valley, IL. Jae (Willie) Sanchez, Dale, TX. Siblings, Estel (Robert) Rinell, Bonne Terre, MO. Gary(Marsha) Clayton, Titusville, FL. Jean (Don) Dusenberry, Bonne Terre, MO. 10 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Willis Clayton; his sister, Janis Hayes and a Great Grand Daughter, Annabell Matney.
