Raymond W. Malone III, 36, of Rock Island, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Friday, February 16, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island.  Visitation will be held from 3:30 pm to 7 pm on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made to the family to be put towards his daughter Rose's Education Fund.

Raymond was born on April 17, 1981 in Davenport, IA, the son of Raymond W. Malone Jr. and Anne Norkoli-Meincke.  Ray enjoyed working as the sound designer at Circa 21 dinner theater, Rock Island, and considered Denny Hitchcock and the whole staff as family.  He was currently working with Rob Charlet on his lifelong dream, completing the build out of the new headquarters and home office for the Haunted Youth Records, an internationally recognized label.

Ray loved spending time with his daughter, Rose; brother, Jeff; 2 nieces, Skylla and Mystique; and great nephew, Ryland.  He was a fan of Star Wars, the Beatles and a lover of all great music.  He began drumming at a young age and drummed in a local band, Meth and Goats.

Raymond is survived by his mother; Anne (Jeff) Meincke; step father whom raised him from a young age, Denny Arnett; daughter, Rosemary "Rose" Sophia Malone; step-brother, Jeffrey Arnett; nieces, Skylla and Mystique Thompson; great nephew, Ryland Thompson; aunt, Vicki Ray; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.  He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
