Richard H. Amy, 92, of Milan, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at his home. Services for Mr. Amy will be 11 am, Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the Moline American Legion Post No. 246. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Richard was born October 24, 1928 to Enos and Crystle Amy. After graduating, he enlisted in the Navy. Later, he went to work for Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric Company, retiring after 35 years. Richard was a 50 year Mason and a member of KAABA Shrine.

Richard married his wife, Frances Heston, on October 4, 1951. They had two children, Richard and Reita. He never missed a moment to watch his six grandkids in events at Rockridge, widely remembered with his camera in hand.

He loved hunting, fishing, jewelry making (most for his wife which she proudly wore), and his family. He especially enjoyed his great grandkids.

Richard is survived by his son Rick, wife Kay, of Illinois City, and daughter Reita, husband Mike, Kuster of Taylor Ridge, grandchildren Rickey (Krystle) Kuster of Taylor Ridge, Matt (Chelsea) Kuster of Andalusia and Gail (DJ) Hahn of Andalusia, Steve (Staci) Amy of Princeton, Kevin (Kara) Amy of Andalusia, and Keith (Courtney) Amy of Reynolds, and great-grandchildren Cole, Cael, Claire, Cru, and Collins Kuster, Kylen and Kolby Kuster, Cooper and Hawk Amy, Lucas and Kennedy Amy, Huxley and Ryker Amy, and Jordy and Jeter Hahn. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother, Boyd Amy, and sister, Reita Downing.
