Richard D. Carlile, 75, of Milan, IL, passed away Sunday February 28, 2016 at UnityPoint-Trinity, Rock Island.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home & Crematory, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan, where visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

Richard was born July 2, 1940 in Blue Island, IL, the son of Charles H. and Ruth M. Jones Carlile. He married Freda Rose Anthony on August 5, 1972 in Rock Island, IL.

He worked at International Harvester for 18 years, where he was a member of United Auto Workers, Local 865. Richard was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He enjoyed visiting with his friends at the Milan Maid-Rite and the Shell station in Milan. He loved his dogs, Nikki and Hammy. He admired and looked up to John Wayne.

Surviving are his wife, Freda, of Milan; children (and spouses), Crystal (Rod) Nebinger, Davenport, Henry Davis, East Moline, Morgan (Alice) Davis, Moline, and Howard Carlile, Milan; grandchildren, Tiffany (Dan) Hrivnak, Shannon Nebinger, Lori Nebinger, Christopher Nebinger, Justin (Gabby) Nebinger, Skylar (McClain) Laud, Taran Davis, Emily Davis, Zoe Davis, and Hayley Davis; and great-grandchildren, Anna Hrivnak, Isaac Hrivnak, Brayden Nebinger, Kale Nebinger, Isabella Nebinger, Ivy Crose, Ema Crose, and Paisley Wilkinson.

His parents preceded him in death.
