Richard "Rick" G. Miller, 86, of Rock Island, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Aspen Rehabilitation and Health Care, Silvis. Services for Mr. Miller will be 1 pm, Tuesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 11am to 1 pm, Tuesday  at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to 15th Avenue Christian Church, Rock Island. Rick was born on July 24, 1930 in Rock Island, a son of Henry Miller and Rose Ihrig Miller. He married Rita Rae Ritze on June 16, 1951 in Rock Island. Mr. Miller worked as a carpenter and later retired from International Harvester Farmall Works, Rock Island. Mr. Miller was a member of 15th Avenue Christian Church, Rock Island. He loved his horses and was an avid sports fan. Rick was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Rita; children, Mark Miller and his wife, Ronee Aaron, Hendersonville, N.C., Teri Miller, Rock Island, and Todd Miller and his wife, Brenda, LaVernia, TX.; grandchildren, Brandon, Cameron, and Travis; great granddaughters, Kylie and Jordyn.
