Richard "Tiny" J. Norcross, 66, of Milan, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island, surrounded by family.

Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held October 31, 2015 at 11 am at Heritage Church, Rock Island, with a private burial. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island, is helping the family with arrangements.

Richard was born November 14, 1948 in Davenport, IA, the son of Eugene and Kathleen (Davis) Norcross. He was employed by King Provision in Jacksonville, FL, as a truck driver before relocating to the Quad Cities.

He loved family get togethers, cooking, and was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Atlanta Braves, and Nascar (Jeff Gordon). He made life-long friends as a member of the Mississippi Valley Van Club and had many close friends via online communities.

Richard is survived by sisters Marnes (Gene) Christy, Milan, and Kathy (Joe) Hughes, Cedar Rapids, IA; stepdaughters Shawna, Sarah, Rachel; nieces Lisa (Dave) Parker, Tammy (Buddy) Wakefield, Jenny Hill, Carrie (Jason) Rohde, Marnie Hill; nephew Brian Essex; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother David W. Hill.
